Despite the defeat, Brian Sorensen's side displayed admirable character against one of England's top teams.
Katja Snoeijs continued her impressive goal-scoring form, leveling the score after Caitlin Foord's early opener. However, Arsenal secured the points with a Beth Mead header deep into first-half stoppage time.
Sorensen stuck with the same lineup that triumphed over Aston Villa, and despite Arsenal's early lead, Everton fought back. Foord found the net on nine minutes, capitalizing on Victoria Pelova's well-placed pass.
Snoeijs, in sync with Karoline Olesen, showcased her prowess, calmly finishing past Manuela Zinsberger on 24 minutes for her first league goal of the season.
While Everton competed admirably, Arsenal regained the lead with Mead's header just before halftime. Despite a dominant Arsenal in the second half, Everton's defense held firm in a challenging contest.
Looking ahead, Everton faces a double-header against Leicester City, with a League Cup clash on Wednesday and a Women's Super League fixture on Sunday. Despite the setback, Sorensen's side remains determined for the challenges ahead.
